We're hiring.
Kids of Immigrants is a multi-dimensional lifestyle brand that bridges diverse cultures and experiences. At our core, we are storytellers that aim to authentically represent and empower our community through intentional product and powerful storytelling.
After 10 years in business, we are entering our most ambitious chapter yet. We're building the team that will carry us for the next 10 years. If you resonate with the brand, feel inspired by it, and you do the best with what you have - this could be for you.
The Marketing Manager owns how KOI shows up in the world across channels, campaigns, community, and culture. You are building and executing the brand's marketing strategy through 2026-2030. KOI is a storytelling and community-first brand that creates emotional connection that ultimately drives product engagement and sales. This role requires deeply understanding the KOI community, our values, and how to grow that community into consumers. You will own social media strategy and direct the Community Manager on day-to-day social execution. Every campaign, product launch, and collaboration must come to life through both KOI Digital and the KOI Flagship Store.
- Brand positioning, strategy decks, and voice and identity guidelines across every touchpoint
- Community engagement strategy - how KOI shows up for and grows its community across platforms, moments, and real-world experiences, including relationships with cultural organizations and mission-aligned brands
- Go-to-market strategy for all product drops, capsule collections, and collabs
- Campaign execution across all channels - social, content, email, from strategy through execution
- Social media strategy across @kidsofimmigrants and @KOIflagship - content calendar, campaign rollouts, platform strategy, and growth targets
- Directing the Community Manager on posting schedule, community engagement approach, and tone - they execute, you set the strategy and standards
- Digital and in-store marketing deliverables for KOI's community initiatives, cultural organization relationships, and mission-aligned brand collaborations
- Ensuring every digital activation has a corresponding physical expression at the flagship, and that in-store moments are amplified through digital channels
- Managing the Director of Content, Content Team, and Community Manager
- 5-8 years in marketing, brand, or campaign management - ability to own strategy and execution simultaneously
- Experience building go-to-market strategies for product drops or brand launches
- Strong channel marketing background - social, content, email, and campaign orchestration
- Experience managing deliverables for brand collaborations and community or cultural organization partnerships - preference for mission-aligned relationships over transactional ones
- Deep fluency in streetwear, sneaker culture, and community-first marketing - genuine understanding of the KOI community, ethos, and values
- A collaborative peer mentality - comfortable working alongside a Brand Manager who owns the customer and product side
- Bonus: experience working with a major sportswear or lifestyle brand
$90,000-$105,000 · Health benefits · KOI product allowance
We are looking for a Store Manager who is both an exceptional operator and a community leader and cultural steward. The KOI Flagship is not simply a retail store - it is a gathering space, community hub, and physical manifestation of the KOI mission. You own everything that makes the flagship run, from buying and inventory to staff hiring, visual merchandising, wholesale relationships, and community events. But beyond operations, you are responsible for cultivating an environment where people feel seen, welcomed, inspired, and connected. The store opens July 1, 2026. You need to be in seat well before that date.
- Day-to-day store operations, floor management, and customer experience standards - set the tone through service, excellence, empathy, and accountability
- Buying and inventory - product selection, replenishment, sell-through, and loss prevention
- Visual merchandising - floor layout, displays, seasonal refreshes in collaboration with the Brand Manager
- Hiring and managing all retail staff - Assistant Store Manager, Retail Associates (x4), and Event Producer
- In-store events calendar and community activations - ensuring the store operates as a genuine community gathering hub, not just a retail floor
- Wholesale and B2B relationships
- Team culture - empower staff, lead with empathy, and create the conditions for every team member to embody KOI values every day
- 4-8 years of retail management with 2+ years as a store manager
- Proven P&L ownership - you've run a store as a business, not just managed a floor
- Buying or strong inventory management background
- Track record hiring and developing a retail team from scratch
- Deep commitment to community leadership and cultural stewardship - you understand this store is a gathering space and community hub first, and a retail environment second
- Strong operational instincts alongside genuine cultural fluency - you can spread love, spark ideas, support customers, and create meaningful connection while running a tight business
- Bonus: experience in streetwear, sneaker, or culture-first retail
Someone who sees retail as purely transactional. Success here is measured not only by revenue and operational performance, but by the strength of the community built at the flagship.
$72,000-$90,000 base + P&L bonus · Health benefits · KOI product allowance
The Assistant Store Manager is the Store Manager's right hand and the floor's anchor. You own visual merchandising, manage hourly staff day-to-day, and ensure the store floor runs at KOI standards at all times. When the Store Manager is out, you are fully in charge.
- Day-to-day floor management - product placement, customer flow, team positioning
- Visual merchandising - layout, displays, seasonal refreshes, event floor adaptations
- Direct management of all hourly Retail Associates - scheduling, training, performance
- Pre-shift huddles and ensuring the team is briefed and on-brand
- Inventory support, event setup, and operations backup for the Store Manager
- 2-4 years of retail experience including floor management or supervisory responsibility
- Strong visual merchandising instinct - you notice when something is off and fix it
- Experience managing hourly staff
- Genuine passion for streetwear, sneaker culture, or community-first retail
- Calm under pressure - busy days and activations don't rattle you
$52,000-$58,000 · Health benefits · KOI product allowance

This role touches everything: what you see in-store, on our social feeds, on our clothes, and across our brand. Full-time contractor structure with a path to FTE after a strong 6-month review.
- In-store display graphics, signage, and visual refreshes for the Melrose flagship
- Apparel and product graphics - artwork, print placement, garment treatments
- Social media graphics, campaign visuals, story templates, and digital assets
- Brand identity - typography, color system, visual standards, marketing collateral
- 3-5 years of graphic design experience in fashion, streetwear, or cultural brands
